‘The Bothy, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge’ by Snazzeroo

A contemporary illustration of the Bothy, a little fisherman’s cottage on the tiny island of Carrickarede, which is linked to the mainland by the famous Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. The cottage once provided a workshop and shelter for salmon fishermen who reached the boat via steps leading down to the water. A winch, which is still there today, would raise and lower the boat depending on the weather.
